**COLD WEATHER & OPERATING TEMPERATURES**

Somfy electric roller shutter motors have an operating temperature range of -10°C to + 50°C. With many parts of the United Kingdom experiencing exceptional temperatures much lower than this over the last two weeks and reports that more cold weather is on the way, it is possible that the Somfy motor will not operate or only operate intermittently. However, as soon as the temperature returns to within the stated tolerance the motor will return to normal operation.

If resting on lumps of snow or ice the shape of the safety edge rubber could deform resulting in the switch being held closed and showing a false reading. Again, it is advised that this is only a temporary problem which will resolve itself as the temperature returns to normal.
